i was driving to topanga and i saw a very oddball house/church/something-or-other building structure place

ok, so i was driving to topanga and i saw a very oddball house/church/something-or-other building structure place through the scrubby trees.
and i decided, as i had a few minutes to kill, to stop and see if i could take some pictures of this house/church/something-or-other for my creepy voyeuristic architecture blog (aka: this).
i pulled off to the side of the road and found that the access to the house was blocked by a gate.
so i took a picture of the gate.
which doesn't look as if it's used too often.
and then there was a moribund looking dirt path.
and then the house (i didn't get too close, cos of the fact that it seems to be kind of unapproachable).
it's a nice looking modern-ish house-church-thing, clearly.

and then i took a picture of a part of the view from the modern-ish house-church-thing-a-ma-jiggy-building.

LA view

as you can see, the view is amazing.
l.a, as it's mainly built on and between mountains, has lots of nice views.
but this was a particularly nice view.
which says very little about the architecture.
except that whoever designed and built it wasn't an idiot, and kind of understood that putting gigantic windows on one side of your house makes sense when you can see for 50 miles or so and there are gigantic mountains at the other end of the valley.

ok, i've rambled enough.
i hope you had a nice weekend.

oh, i editorialized a bit, making the gate/path/house pictures black and white and the view picture in color.
that's how it looked to me.
in my brain.

thanks
