ok, this is a sort of architectural update. well, it's an architectural update. but, for today, it has nothing to do with l.a architecture. it is, instead, an update about yugoslavian war memorial architecture. someone sent me this site: http://www.cracktwo.com/2011/04/25-abandoned-soviet-monuments-that-look.... and i was stunned, as these are just about the coolest things ever built by humans. so, i'll get back to l.a architecture soon. in the meantime, tito commissioned yugoslavian war memorials that look like they were designed and installed by giant space aliens who loved concrete and lived 50,000 years ago. -moby
