here are a couple of pictures of the chilean desert, which to me doesn't exactly look like it's on/in/of earth. i was tempted to lie and say that we had decided to take a day trip to mars, but i realized that very few people would actually believe me. so, instead, chilean desert from 45,000 feet.
oh, and a picture from a window of the plane that reminds me of how beautiful flying can be at times.

atakama i reckon...
this is the atakama desert i think.. It is the second-driest place on earth after antarctica's dry valleys. Nestled in the dry valleys is a seal that has been there for about 3000 years. Because there's no moisture and no scavengers, it hasn't changed since it died.

-And I'm not kidding when I say I couldn't easily breathe when I was in Arizona and Utah. It was soooo dry.....My lungs have become so accustomed to this muggy moist air and so when I go back to the dryness it makes it difficult for me to breathe.

I just have seen a couple of pics flying over Chile, but nothing more about how did you feel here last april 27th. It was fantastic for everyone there. You and your team are very special people. I love your spanish, you're not an stupid gringo, you are just like an angel. I always say: "if God was a person, so He is Moby ..or if God exists, so He talks through Moby". THANKS FOR YOUR WORDS TO VICTIMS OF CHILEAN EARTHQUAKE AND MISSING AND PEOPLE DEAD ..you made me cry.
