There are a number of shamanic healers in the US (some of them who work near LA) who utilize a really powerful type of emotional and spiritual healing and they work with people who have mental illnesses, (in conjunction with their doctor and/or therapist).

There is a book called 'Shaman Healer Sage' by Alberto Villoldo which describes some of the healing techniques that they use. Alberto origonally got trained by shamans in Peru. I read the book and it sounds like a truly amazing system of healing.

I was talking to someone there just this morning, and they told me they have practitioners in Monterey in California and in Carlsbad. There is also someone trained by them who has done quite a bit of work with people with mental illness. They can work long distance (because they're psychic and can do shamanic out of body journeying) in case you can't actually get yourself to one of their practitioners in person.

yes, instead of allowing evil deep fried chicken muppets to take over our world, wouldn't it be great if governments would support the health of the people and the health of the planet by subsidizing farmers to ensure that their farming practices are sustainable and ideally organic as well. Soils that are in good health with the right kinds of nutrients and micro-organisms, produce more nutrition rich foods. Maybe more people would want to go vegan too, if plant based foods were produced more sustainably and were all the more rich in nutrients than many of them currently are. And the healthy soils would be capable of sequestering all the more carbon from out of the atmosphere.

At Christmas time, I took organic strawberries up to my mother's house (amongst other things) and she commented on how very much more delicious tasty they were than the non-organic stawberries that she normally buys.

With all of the heart attacks and artery diseases going on due to fattening foods such as this, I'm surprised that any restraunts are even allowed to by law sell and serve such food.

When I first saw this, I thought it was hashbrowns. I didn't realize it was fried chicken until I read your journal.

Some people don't realize the 'calorie count' of things and the 'fat content' or what their body sizes and age groups are capable of eating without causing them ill health and weight gain. If they were knowledgeable about the maximum fat and calories their body's, as well as, lifestyles can handle, they would know full well that this particular food is not good for them (Anybody). That probably has more fat and calories than three days worth of entire meals that a person is suppose to intake. I feel that schools need to teach nutrition from an early age and should make it as important to eat healthy as they make it it to say no to drugs. Some drugs are healthier than this mentioned food.

I still cannot believe that certain foods are allowed by the FDA. Some of the Little Debbie dessert snacks for instance, have chemicals in them that kill rats. Why are people eating these?
