hi, in seattle for the gristle event tonight at town hall. oops, here are the details:
Town Hall Seattle,
1119 Eighth Avenue, Seattle, Washington 98101
$5 tickets are available at the door starting at 6:30 p.m.
or in advance via www.brownpapetickets.com
i love seattle. i mean, i'm kind of a city slut, in that i love lots of different cities, but nonetheless: i love seattle. even when it's cold and grey and raining (as it is right now).
oh, a quick aside about politics. today the democrats passed legislation that expanded the federal student loan program, making it easier for millions of americans to go to college. that's good, right? i mean, who could be opposed to more americans being able to go to college and get better educations and potentially get better jobs and lead better lives? well, republicans, of course.i love this quote: Senator Lamar Alexander, Republican of Tennessee said:
"The Democrats in Washington decided to take over the federal student loan program."
now, does anyone else see the comedic irony in that quote? Lamar Alexander is upset because people in government in washington are taking over a federal program? i mean, i'm not the brightest guy in the world, but isn't a federal program by definition already kind of run by politicians in washington? ah well, good ole republicans, consistent in their lunacy.
in other news: i need to shave. i'm starting to look like a homeless vet. which is a good look for some people. but not necessarily for me.
see you soon,
moby

Good
A local farmer just outside of town grew watermelons for a living, and he was doing quite well but was being hassled by some local kids who would sneak into his watermelon patch late at night and eat his watermelons.Replica Jimmy Choo handbags After some careful thought, he came up with a clever idea that he thought would scare the kids away for sure.

thank you !
my dear moby & friends, i'm
my dear moby & friends, i'm an italian "litte idiot", me too very happy for the successes of the government obama!
i'm left-wing....... and it's well- known to the world that the european left-sympathizer has always felt the united states as a bad model of society!
but in italy in these times now ... .. degraded to being governed by berlusconi & friends, people who are tearing up everything of our country, of our democraty, and of our souls!
(… while most italians ….. in a surreal way .... seem to be so happy for this! and for this sometimes i feel me like a little idiot..!)
….. faced to this, at this days...i'm ever left-wing.... but i need to admire your States and your Obama...... for me now the biggest hope for a more equitable and happy world! and for this, i have to offer many many thanks to people like you, moby! and also many thanks to all those little americans, ordinary people, who have given, each of them in her small way, an immense support to the Obama's policy!
dear moby .... ! unfortunately your words against berlusconi that i heard during your live in rome ... .. it seems they haven't yet taken effect! ...... but I hope it will be very very soon!
In these days, some local elections are carryng out in italy … and i hope the berlusconi's alliance will succumb a little at least !
….. and in any case...... i will persevere to trust in this words by Italo Calvino, an italian intellectual, vho in the "Invisible Cities" wrote:
“The hell is not something that will be: if there is one, it is already here, the hell where we live everyday, that we form staying together. There are two ways not to suffer from. The first one is easy for many people: accepting the hell and become part of it up to the point not to see it anymore. The second one is risky and requires attention and continuous learning: searching and being able to recognize who and what, into the hell, is not hell, and to make it last, and to give space to it.”
…. and after this i have no more to tell you… bye bye moby!
(i'm listening you by some years …. i have been to your live in rome in july 2009. ... then i tried to come to Oporto .... but after purchased the concert ticket online, after a low-cost flight with ryanair ... .. . i was incredibly lost in Santiago de Compostela (in any case a beautiful city!)
I flyed again in november to London, and this time i managed to reach the palace theater and to enjoy your wonderful live!
i also published some photos of your events on my website (www.robertoceccarelli.com) and I would be happy if you happen to see them! (i hope my site will work if you go to see it .... is entirely built and maintained by myself and i'm not specialised in this sector!)
dear moby, South America is unfortunately too far and too expensive for me now .... i hope to see and listen you soon in Europe.... in the meantime i will wait reading your journal and listening your music! (i'm waiting i'm waiting for your new songs :)!
bye bye moby ! (and sorry for my bad bad english …. so very very googlish!!)
tinco (r.c.) from italy (… here in italy, near to rome where i live …...the sun has returned to shine !! after a long, long and very strong winter, finally we are in the first springtime's days !!)
hi
hello, moby, i'm a 19 year old communications student from lima, perú. first, we're all very pleased in perú for having you so soon. second, since my early political and sociological preoccupations as a teenager, i've been eager to find people in the arts who are interested in politics, actually interested in people. third, i would like to request an informal interview, just some random chat about culture, industry, politics. fourth, what i want to share with peruvian blog readers are insights within the debate about copyrights, internet users rights, and any subject you'd be willing to discuss. i hope i can borrow some of your time. hope you read this. yufes yusef.simon.val@gmail.com

Sunday Twitter NYT -- scrabble!
Hi
I apologize for being off-topic but I follow you on twitter and wanted to comment on your most recent tweet.
I read your comments in the NYT article and was sad to hear you were playing fake scrabble. Real 7 letter regular online scrabble is alive and well at the Internet scrabble club - http://www.isc.ro/en/
The games are timed though as if for tournament play. You can choose longer times than 20-25 min. each side if you wish, but will find less takers.
Folks are ranked after the first 10-11 games and you can watch high-ranked games. I'm only a 7-800 rank- there are folks out there at 1900-2000! You can choose the ranking range of your opponents.
You can also choose to play duplicate where everybody is trying to find the best play for the same set of letters. Best option is played and scored and the game continues.
And if you want- you can play using the British English dictionary instead of the American.
They also provide other languages than English.
There's no point to be on Facebook for the (fake)scrabble!
I hope you read this comment and give this a try- I think you'll be happier playing real scrabble.
Much wonderfulness in all your endeavors!
Anne
hi
HI I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO CHAT WITH YOU OR SEND YOU A MAIL ABOUT A QUESTION THAT I HAVE.
I DON'T KNOW IF YOU CAN SEND ME YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS SO WE CAN GET IN TOUCH. THANKS!
ELIZABETH
I'm greatly looking forward to reading gristle
I'm going to request that my library buy a copy. They usually follow my suggestions for books to buy. If a copy does land up in the library here, while that might result in more people reading the book, I hope it doesn't result in any less people buying the book.
Best of Luck
tweet.....pregnancy?
have you got a little one on the way?
many thanks
Moby, it was great getting to speak with you at the library yesterday. Thank you again, and my friend and I really enjoyed your talk at Town Hall as well. I'm glad you like this beautiful grey city, and I hope you enjoy Portland--they totally have us beat on amazing vegan food!
Angel Kisses My Darling
Good Morning My Love,
Seattle is a very beautifully vibrant city. I love it!!! I seem to remember more so, the beautiful waters and flora and fauna. Throughout the city I loved taking photos and having photos taken because there were absolutely beautiful brilliantly vibrant colored flowers and trees amidst the buildings and some of the entrance ways to buildings were like nature's labrynth's. The large amounts of rain makes it such a beautifully colorful city. The landscaping is so alive and it is a trains short distance to so many other beautiful areas in Washington that are absolutely breathtaking. I wish I could remember the name of the area that I visited the most gorgeous botanical garden....Sighs...I so want to take *you* there my love. Angel Kisses x's
I hope your Gristle event's both went really well. The radio station interview didn't get streamed, or so that I see on their website. I am so interested in hearing what *you* had to say about Gristle and such there. Will that be shared anytime soon? Muaz x's
Have a very lovely nights rest my heart.
I Love, Love, Love *You* Eternally,
Your Rachelle LaDelle'

Seattle and mobygratis
While in Seattle make sure you visit Roq la Rue on 2nd Ave — one of THE best galleries on the west coast (or, anywhere). Their current group show is pretty amazing.
Wondering if you've had a chance to check email sent to gratis@moby.com lately. I had some questions about licensing a track for a stop motion animation featuring animals, vintage books and 45s, bikini girls, angels, devils, a headless kewpie doll, and assorted presidents of the United States. It's a fun little piece, which I'm hoping to place in some festivals and a possible museum show.
In any case... much success on the book tour!
John
