ok, tell me this isn't odd... maybe they work, maybe they don't. but the pictures?
did they have a casting call: 'models wanted. must like homeless and/or mentally unstable.'

perhaps these body wraps keep inmates from killing themselves. if so, that's great. they also look comfortable. and warm. and they also look like what the royal guard would wear in the wizard of oz. do they make anti-suicide wraps for oompaloompas?
i've never worked in a corrections facility, so maybe there's a utility to these anti-suicide human burrito wraps of which i'm unaware. all i know is that they look like giant human-sized toilet paper tubes as designed by smurfs.

I couldn't agree more- both regarding the look of the models and the ridiculous contraptions that they and suicidal inmates are forced to wear. It's nearly inhumane to ask someone to walk around like that among the other prisoners.

Well I've actually worked at a correctional facility before, and I've never seen one of those, but I can imagine it's uses. It tear resistant so a suicidal inmate can't tear it and use it to hang themselves. Not pretty but it works as intended.
