list time.

1-thanks for coming to the carl cox tent at ultra. it was, to use contemporary parlance, off the hook. that's contemporary
parlance, right? just another in my long list of attempts to stay contemporary. i also hear that dungarees and pizza pies
are quite popular with the young persons these days. and flair pens and word processors.

2-today obama signed legislation protecting 2 million acres of land. hooray obama. i know that everyone's focussed
on economic news, but in his first 100 days he's done some pretty amazing things, like lifting the ban of federally funded
stem cell research, signing legislation providing equal pay for women, protecting 2 million acres of federal land from development,
and more. president obama makes me proud.

3-i'm doing a lot of european shows and festivals this summer. i think that most, if not all, of the dates have been
posted. i'll post them all sometime soon in one of my friendly list emails.

4-miami was nice. warm and nice. but all of the be-muscled and be-tanned and be-implanted people make me feel
like woody allen having a day at the beach. parts of miami are great. parts of it kind of make me want to run back
to nyc and sit in a bookstore getting even more pale. being warm in the out-of-doors was nice, though. and ultra was fun.
