How about "Do the right thing!" and "Just do it!". They sound real necessity now.
I feel the cave ages men were much wiser than present time men. They certainly knew at least what was priority to do for them.
I don't understand why it's so difficult to make an act of sharing one's extreme wealth with others while all societies are struggling with huge problems of unceasing increase of shutting down firms, job losers and poverty.
I've thought a part of democracy means people can live without much difference of poor and rich, and always try to diminish this gap. But it becomes evident that we, in so-called developed, democratic countries, have been living under uncontrolled financial dictatorship scheme. This is the worst aspect of capitalism and also it does not much differ from the state of other undeveloped countries or communist countries or dictatorship countries on the planet wherein only a handful of people hold the whole wealth of a nation. So, not being so over-nervous to the word 'socialism', we'd better have controlled capitalism, and the policy of rich budget in social affairs.

You're a very unusual person. You care about things and act upon your beliefs; admittedly, I'm something of an aging hippy, but I remember when music seemed to offer a path to a better future. That's not something you see much in today's corporate culture.
And I even like your music . . . "Play" is probably the most brilliant late 20th century slice of sound I've heard.

It's my first time to this blog, but since there's no About page to post this, I decided to post it here.
I'm really amazed that you have been blogging since 2000. How come I've never seen this!? If there is anyone I look up to in music, it's you. Your music talks to me. Your music never dies. I keep on listening to it, and I still enjoy it every single time.
You have no idea how much I am amazed by your humble personality. You are different than all other musicians.
Anyways, there is so much inside that cannot be expressed. I am sure you have heard this millions of times, that's if you read this anyway, but I just wanted to let them out since I have been a huge fan of you for more than 10 years.
Everyone is a socialist to some degree.
We all benefit from government sponsored programs financed by public tax dollars. Some of us just have different opinions as to what programs are deemed worthy of appropriation. For example, most Americans don't question the need for a police force, fire department, military, or public library. Well guess what? All of these are socialist programs. Don't believe it? Well, prior to the Civil War, insurance companies(not tax payers)paid fire brigades to save buildings. This led to such fierce compitition between fire brigades that buildings were burning down while the brigades were fighting each other over who got to put out the fire and reap the reward. The people realized some needs such as life safety, education, and national defense are just too important to leave up to capitolist compitition. Lately, we have regressed on education and national defense by privatizing or suggesting privatization of these needs. Could you imagine the mess our Social Security system would be in today if we had indeed privatized it? Again, too important to risk on competitive capitolism.

Thank you for sharing this very true quote my love.
I'm still getting use to my new work schedule, so I apologize for not replying to this here last night. I didn't get a chance to check all of my websites and email accounts and this was one place I didn't have time to get onto, but *you* do know that my Angels frequent your website all the time to sprinkle it with angel dust and love. My uncle affectionately refers to my wife and I as "commie-pinkos" for many similar reasons. I get sick of being repeatedly verbally beaten for suggesting that maybe free market laissez-faire economy and social policies are not the best option ever conceived. I'm often told "socialism forces me to give my money to the government to spend on social programs to help the poor, I'd rather do it myself." But yet, most people don't. Laissez-faire would be great if we had each others' best interests in mind - clearly that is not the case, however.
so, already posted over at that other blog-space, but "thank you" for posting this! so does this mean that some would view most saints as socialists? would that mean that most socialists are saints? :D sorry. a tad flippant. i'm packing stuff to put into storage, my travel hopes are all cattywampus, i'm indulging in bad habits (again) and... i'm certain i don't need to tell anyone reading this about "how it goes" sometimes! thanks again for the "brightening" of my day! oh, and part of the "cattywampus" was going to the ultra festival --not going to happen now :( --but hope it is a great gig/experience... with any luck somebody will get really great video and post to youtube-- unfortunately in my experience, it is way too difficult not to groove and sing (as one should be doing) and hold a video cam steady at the same time! so if all is as it should be, conditions will be all together antithetical to great youtube video... oh well. i'll be holding a good thought for everyone that day. ^_^ thanks again!
