salutations moby,
i am a photo journalist and design student working on a research project. i am in the process of doing a paper and a class presentation that introduces or accentuates an artist using his/her design process.

this is more of a visual class and i thought i can further challenge the design concept assignment by exploring more of a musical artistic design from an artist like you. i would like to ask some specific questions and through my research i have found that there is not a lot of in depth written information on you found at the library. so, i thought perhaps i could go directly to you.

it sounds like you are quite busy with your new record and i don't even know if this will even reach you. do you think it's at all possible to get an interview or at least some insight and direction as to where i can find more information on your creative process that i can share with some very thirsty minds, aching to grasp new concepts and ideas. i belong to a very progressive san francisco college and i think this would be a great way to break the traditional expectations people have for these presentations and would also most certainly add a level of sophistication and excitement to the class.

i appreciate your time and i really hope that you might take this as a challenge and also a compliment to you as a true artist.

Until I saw the picture, I thought you were making fun of someone. Then I saw the picture and thought "awwww" and then I hated myself for being someone who said "awww." Now I have mixed emotions about Valentine's Day in general.

I do hate valentines day actually, with all my couple friends rubbing my nose in it. Why cant they have a big argument in front of me or something the smug gits. (sorry)

Its not hard to guess that I'm single and cynical, so I'm glad its now the 15 Feb.

You have cheered me up with the picture though, thanks for that.
Bit of an age gap (and bit of a difference in species), but just shows that true love can break through all obstacles.

Also thanks again for your music for my short film. Wish I was more talented to give your music better justice. (I'll keep practising)

i really enjoy reading and viewing the pictures in your journal here. you're a genius with that touch of a witty charm of yours. there have been a good many occassions when stopping in here to read or see what you have added for the day leaves me with such a great feeling really!!! so I thank you for that.

also i need your advice. you know how (in a disarming self depreciating kind of way) you call yourself a "little idiot", well I was wondering whether you have ever caught yourself in the act of doing something that only a little idiot would do. or to be more precies, have you ever been totally caught out by a number of other people after having done something that only a little idiot would do? and if so, what did you do to yourself afterwards?

i'm in that situation now which is why i'm hoping that you will consider administering some advice. what should I do to myself now that i've done something that only a fool would do? I know that being a little fool is not quite the same as being a little idiot, but a little fool must be at least in some ways similar to a little idiot don't you think? I'm thinking that must be so and so I believe you'd be a great person to advise me. thankyou for anything you can offer.
