an album update:

a lying-in-bed-listening-to-the-rain album is just the kind of music i would love to hear right now. and of course, as with any artist i like, i will always set aside some time to sit in a quiet room without distractions and with headphones on and listen to the album all the way through the very first time i play it.

i'm excited!

The only addition I can think of at the moment is that we the tax payers who are funding this bailout should also receive quarterly dividends checks. I'm just saying. They can refuse us but we can't refuse them? I'll take my money back with interest thank you very much.

This is excellent news. Your description of the new album sounds very much like Hotel Ambient and that is my favourite album. It's great just to chill out to at night. I'm really looking forward to it. You should put a sneak preview of a song on myspace or something to keep us going til the album's released :P

After all the so similar sounding and manufactered songs in todays day and age it will be with a welcome sigh of relief to hear a good old fashion record, how records used to be written - full of emotions, stories and meanings.
I very much look forward to this album I'm kind of imagining it to be a cross between Hotel and Play would I be correct on that line of thought or am I way off the mark?!!! Either way it does not matter I've enjoyed all your albums and love the different styles you keep coming out with.

this is good news.

The description of your new record alone made me SO excited! In this day and age the idea of an album coming together as a body of work has lost a lot of meaning and I'm so glad you've stuck with this idea through out your career. And the genre of music that you've described is pretty much the exact type of music I listen to. My brother and I call the Sundays you described above as "Sad Sundays"... our band, Side by Side, wrote a song about Sad Sundays entitled "Disappear", it's suppose to sound like waking up on a Sunday with that pit in your stomach of sadness. I'll link it below for you in case you have a few minutes to listen to it!
