It's so awesome you mention Minor Threat, that was the first show I ever saw when my cooler older cousin took me as a youth, to the Marble Bar in Baltimore (now a parking lot.) I know in the piece you say you changed your add to include RADIOHEAD as kind of a dis on their NOT being Mission of Burma, Sex Pistols, et al. however, I would say there is more than one way of being "punk." As Kurt Cobain was fond of saying, "To me, punk rock is about freedom." I think RADIOHEAD's last four or five albums are really about as "free" with music as a traditional, commercial "rock" band has pulled off successfully in a really long while. Further, I would say there is that element of "punk" in your music as well, aside from the obvious in ANIMAL RIGHTS, but the electronic stuff, too, is also evident of this point of "punk as freedom" ethic. As for "rocking out with your cock out," I couldn't help but feel a bit of a kindered spirit, thanks!, haha. And if you are serious about wanting to start that killer new, punk band, I'm officially throwing my hat in the ring, after all, I did play guitar with Dee Dee Ramone (after he left the Ramones and moved to L.A.) and hey, Spain is lovely this time of year, lol. Pic of me and Dee Dee rocking out in L.A. together below. http://tinyurl.com/3kwpto
That was hilarious...
