thanks to everyone who came to degenerates on thursday

thanks to everyone who came to degenerates on thursday night and the little
death show on saturday night.
hopefully everyone's fully recovered.
i'm taking a sort-of news-fast, but i just checked the election news to see that in the last week:

1-john mccain confused the army with the national guard
2-got confused about his running mates children
3-confused his running mate(palin)with his opponent(obama)
4-confused the sec with the fec
5-got further confused about who hires/fires the head of the sec
6-called the economy 'fundamentally strong' when wall street had it's biggest
crisis in a generation

add this to his earlier confusion about sunni vs. shi'ite and his confusion
about the country of czechoslovakia(which hasn't been a country for 15 years).

do you see a pattern?
confusion.
it's dangerous to pretend that john mccain's age isn't an issue. he's not a bad guy.
he's a war hero. he's got a good sense of humor. but he's showing potential signs
of dementia and early-onset alzheimer's(memory loss, confusion, irrational outbursts, rage, etc).
regardless of one's party alliance i really don't know how anyone can make the case that the united states
would be well served by a president with dementia/early-onset alzheimers and a vice-president
who has only left north america once in her life and who believes that dinosaurs
and humans co-existed.

elections...frustration

How was it that those Florida elections had gone in 2000?---how do we forget? I am suprised...I forgot about it after some time. I watched that election...I couldn't believe it was possible to do something like this with the voting system. And so who are we exactly nominating?...electing?...and how? Are we all satisfied that things are all fair and legal in this department right now? Suprised not to see Americans...really fighting for their rights that were taken in that election where the brother headed the committee to recount the votes (exaggerated way to say this, but effective..he didn't really head it, but just as good as)..checks and balances are important for this very reason...Think its a shame about Hillary...feel it would have been the peoples balance (imagine Bush seeing Hillary as the next president...a woman who would be allowed, permitted to have an abortion if she chose to)...have hope for obama...wish for faith to be restored in the system...that its a good one. Don't forget at the elections...J-

And now he wants the debates

And now he wants the debates canceled and "suspending" his campaign.. and he and his vp is doing crappy interviews with katie couric and barely ever seen.. what the hell is up with him? It's either senility or he just doesn't care. Which I wouldn't put past him.

I wonder if he's going to try to get the VP debates canceled. I wouldn't be surprised.

Oh and if you haven't watched David Letterman mocking him last night with Keith Olbermann... you must. It was one of the most hilarious things I've seen in a long, long time.

not to mention...

not to mention any PTS that McCain might have... I'm sure that in some cases it never really goes away. His medical records were also never fully released.

of course...

does anyone really know what time it is?

The End of Pax Republicana

whatever happened to sensible policies that defined the grand old party, the party of lincoln, the party that repealed jim crow laws, the part of non-interventionism, the party of fiscal responsibility, the party of family moral values, the party of individual liberties, the party of fidelity to the constitution, the party of principles, the party that prides itself on sovereignty, etc, etc, etc...

somewhere between ethical corruption cases involving ranking republicans (tom delay, ted stevens, cheney, ashcroft, etc) and the abortion of american civil rights (patriot act), the republican party is in complete and utter ruins due to a confluence of factors that were predetermined and conspired by people more sinister than that chimp in the oval office.

this is not an endorsement for obama.

i just can't get over the fact that obama voted yes for patriot act ii after he denounced the unnecessary encroachment of liberties and privacy on american citizens, the fact that he is willfully ignoring his brother george in africa who is living in squalid conditions, the fact that he penned two memoirs yet never bothered to write a senatorial white paper and the fact that he is deceiving so many of his loyal followers into believing that he stands for "change".

nonetheless, this is still obama's election to lose and he may actually lose (see battleground states inhabited by gun-loving religious fanatics).

Next year's federal budget

Next year's federal budget may not contain a penny more for research and education if Republican Senator John McCain (AZ) is elected U.S. president and has his way with Congress.

„It’s a terribly time here in the u.s…”(m..)

(-Can I go on the evening of poetry?
-I sold the marrow to pay for electricity. (Switch off lights)
-His was not a lot ....)

(-Let's billet near landfills sideburns. Maybe so time will pass faster ...)

of some cartoons ...

those were just...

¨...senior moments.¨

Hero?

Some people consider John McCain a "Hero".

I have a problem with anyone being against a holiday for a Hero (MLK Jr.) in his home state of Arizona being called a "hero."

That is...

truly terrifying!!
