Happy 43rd! About these claims regarding the Democrats finally fighting back. I'd like to shed some little light on it. THEY DON'T FIGHT ABOUT ANYTHING IN WASHINGTON! It's a never ending game of "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine!" I can't believe how ridiculous Obama supporters are. You were ripping Hilary to pieces just months ago in your SXSW interview and now here you are upset that McCain made some horrendous remark about her healthcare plan, which is older and better supported (statistically) than Obama's. Who the hell do you men think you are? Here you have called McCain a sexist (the remark he made about his wife) but then I guess we'd have to come up with a new name for you. You hated Hilary because she's a woman. That's really all. She didn't do or say anything that the other candidates had not. The primary election was just that....an election. People hope to get elected. That's why they run. Obama didn't have to try at all because the American people are so silly, emotional, irrational, and judgmental of women that we are handing him the electoral win with no questions asked. I just can't wait to see how and when this is going to backfire. Hilarious! Thank God I'll be abroad.

Yeah its so true. This is more lies and smoke and mirrors to distract the American people away from the real issues. Did you hear about the film they found of Mccaine coming back from Vietnam? Well there's *NOT* a coincidence if ever i saw one, and what has all this to do with Mccaines suitability to govern the US? Just because he took part in a mistake of a war that happened all but before i was born?

I defended Kurt Lockwood in a previous blog but since he doesn´t seem to post here anymore let me just go ahead and tell you that you are not welcome here, troll. Well I've the Links to good information sources on Sarah Palin over on MySpace (user name 'zimmi') under your "lipstick on a pig" post there... seeing as I couldn't get them through here for some reason.

And I see how very popular your political posts are there!!!! You do give out good bits and pieces of information and make it all really interesting to read in the process.... because you've got talent as a writer and are really good with the satire as well when you get into that. Don't worry at all about people who complain about your political posts. Maybe they are McCain/palin supporters anyway, who don't particularly want democrats to have their say.

I've had a problem attempting to post a comment on here that contained Links to good information sources about Sarah Palin. It has become apparent that the problem definitely has something to do with the Links because part of the comment got through yesterday once I'd edited out the Links. I had then begun to wonder if the reason that the "flagged as potential spam" message popped up was not because of the Links (as heaps of people post comments containing Links), but because I'd tried posting the same comment 3 or 4 times in quick succession yesterday, having supposed that maybe it wasn't landing on your page due to my firewall settings, (and not having noticed the message in small print that my comment was being flagged as spam). So I just tried posting those same Links in a new message today only to find it got flagged as potential spam again. So why, when heaps of people post comments containing Links, do some comments containing Links get flagged as potential spam and not others? It would be good to know so that no-one wastes their time attempting to post certain kinds of Links and so that no-one else gets confused when a comment of theirs is getting blocked.

instead of owning up to his mistake, obama is making a situation a lot worse.

1. women voters are a clear target market in this election. do you think the sexism implied in obama's "pig comment" went unnoticed?

2. why alienate members of your own party by making a mockery of concepts like "equality" by not acknowledging the blunder?

3. why not debate the issues and policies instead of resorting to petulant name-calling (you must be an idiot or hopelessly incompetent to squander an opportunity given the colosal failure of the GOP)?

The media seems obsessed with her. It's disgusting.

They can never seem to find anything REAL to criticize him about. All their arguments against him are either false or completely juvenile. They're sounding more and more pathetic. I love how just because she's a woman they act as if any sort of bash against her is sexist - and this one was even against her but the policies.

And where the hell is she anyway? Any thoughts on the fact she doesn't seem to be giving interviews, answering questions, doing anything but her convention speech which was probably not even written by her in the first place..

We haven't seen any interviews from her. For someone the media is calling a 'feminist' [which she isn't in any way shape or form especially since she's running with a huge anti-feminist] .. she sure seems to be fine with hiding behind men.

Oh and she's supposed to give an interview with Charles Gibson. She can't even go to a REAL news outlet?

Palin is a good VP nominee for McCain because she is distracting the media from covering the real issues. Have we heard anything substantive from McCain on his Senate voting record or proposed initiatives as President? No, because Palin and her cornucopia of controversy sell. However, the truth is what excites.
