yo yo yo, whasssup???

yo yo yo, whasssup???
jus' wanna let U know whasssup w/ me, ya'll.
i'm gittin' ready to THROW DOWN some joints
on the 1's -n- 2's, aw yeahh!!!!
i know U haterzz all ready to dis.
i'm sorry, i just can't write like that for too long, it makes me feel dirty and disingenuous.
so i'll try to revert back to my everyday mundane waspy parlance.
what i was trying to say, in a contemporary way, was that i'm dj'ing a lot in the next few weeks.
here's the list:
this saturday at the live 105 event near san francisco(at the subsonic tent. yes, i'll only be playing
music audible to blue whales. 'subsonic'. get it? below the range of human hearing? hellooo? is this
thing on? i'll be here all week, try the prime rib and don't forget to tip your wait staff.)
then later saturday night(2 a.m) at mezzanine, in san francisco.
then sunday at showbox in seattle.
then saturday june 28 at the edc festival in l.a.

and that's it for dj'ing for the time being.
at least in june.
although i'm hoping to dj at nublu for their yearly anniversary party. last years was really fun.
and what's the point of running a bar if you can't have a yearly anniversary party?
i love nublu. it's tiny. the soundsystem barely works. they still don't have a sign out front. but i always manage to have way too much fun there.
and apparently hillary's going to announce her support for obama on saturday.
it would be nice if she announced her support for obama at nublu.
politicians should be more surprising.
wouldn't that be great?
if she announced the end of her candidacy in a bar on avenue c at 3 a.m?
come on, hillary, surprise us. we already know that she enjoys the sweet, sweet liquor.
ok, hopefully see you soon.
oh, the little death show at mercury lounge on the 25th is almost sold out.

Divine Essence

Mezzanine 2 A.M.: The magic had already begun. The air held a quality of kindness, receptivity and electricity like sparkling blue sapphire light. An expansion of strength vibrated off an exquisite chi creature as she meandered unaware of the exploration to come. The reverberation of anticipation echoed off the lofted ceilings and walls. Filling the stage with small structure and frame, Moby’s space was much bigger than the confines of his skin. Light is all around him. Patrons flood the stage just wanting to dance in the presence of the small giant. There is a softness to his manor and a clear and deep sigh of relief with each smile that passes his lips. The gentleness of his movements carries him as he floats thoughout his set, unaware and engulfed in the joy he creates in everyone around him. Slowly the stage emptied and all that’s left is a dancing angel exploring the rhythms of the sound waves. Time was timeless, their communication… without one word. Like a warm hand on your knee, or sitting beside the unconditional Love of a family dog, more can be said through touch than through language, if only you listen. Looking into someone’s eyes one can see the purity of soul. Slipping someone’s hand into your own and one can feel the purity of heart. Like a small pill that turns dead rats into passionate kisses shared between two ancient Eastern snakes writhing into transcendence. Esoterics pervade the space. On a scale of one to ten… I give the experience a seventeen.

moscow some day?

it's so sad that i live overseas and can't visit your djing. moby, are you going to visit moscow some day again?...

Bringing my camera to your gig this coming Sunday in Seattle...

Sorry if it's off topic, but my search for an appropriate e-mail/contact person/information wasn't very productive..Anyway, I'm coming to your show this coming Sunday at the Showbox, Seattle, and want to take some photos. I do shoot for a music magazine and have their press pass (blues magazine). Any restrictions on your shows? Who do I need to contact? Thanks a lot, looking forward to the party...

Hillary could be the new Bob Dole.

Remember that -- Dole showed up everywhere after the '96 election, and people said, who knew he could be funny (intentionally or not)?

Maybe you could get her in the booth with you. Rock da house. I miss my DJ days...
