i know, musicians are gross.
informative and self-serving, 2 of my favorite things.
so, on wednesday i'm playing a TINY TINY TINY little acoustic show with my friend joy in belgium.
i don't know where it's going to be, but it's going to be VERY LITTLE(like a pub in the early evening).
and then later that night i'm dj'ing in ghent, i believe.
then friday i'll be doing the phonica in-store in london, and then dj'ing at o2 with mylo and trentemoeller.
(saturday, as an aside, i might dj for a bit at mylo's bday party. said dj'ing will most likely involve
me playing donna summer and laura branigan records. i'm a really excellent bday/wedding/bar-bat mitzvah dj. just fyi.).
then off to l.a for a day.
then guadalajara and monterey and mexico city.
to avoid confusion: these 3 mexican dates will be me playing a new type of live show.
we're calling it LIVE:remixed.
it's a live show, but it's dance music, sort of remixing my music live.
most of the festivals i'll be doing this summer(well, the european ones) will be LIVE:remixed.
ok, to continue: then after mexico i go back to l.a to do some weird stuff involving playing live, i think.
then after l.a i go to demf, where i'll be dj'ing with a lot of my favorite electronic legends.
and then i come back to nyc where i build a bathtub attached to a balloon and i float around in the bath
while learning how to play the hammered dulcimer and then go off and joyne a ye olde ren-fayre and travel
the heath bringing madrigals to the gentry.
did i just write that?
ew, see aforementioned 'musicians are gross' comment.

My Guest List won the competition at the O2 Arena, and I didn't get the eticket information until the night of the concert when I had already missed it! That almost killed me... Please come back!
And joining the crowd, if you are in London and fancy Peruvian dinner, it is my treat!

holy crap ... your passport is going to be full by the end of this travel scene. The bathtub is a good idea! you should so def do it ! take some time off and go sleep a couple of hours . AHAHA jk ! do what you want! you are pretty insane at partying and traveling so PARTY HARD! but take it easy . and since everyone is inviting you to dinner , plz if you ever stop by in Moncton nb can ... i would love to have you over for dinner! anyway yes i havnt read your blog lately so i had to read them all to keep up . i must say when you talked about bush and his staff i laughed and then forwarded it to my friend and we both agree that someone finally with status said what we said word for word and i thank you for that ! anyway off to bed ... good night world of mobys fans

What's the best way to get started on learning to dj for a wedding? Anyone know or can send me a link to a good website that gives some good starter tips?
My sister's wedding is coming up and I know little to nothing about djing at this point. She wants me to dj the party following the ceremony, and the guy's only requirement was "No thong song" lol

Out of curiosity, do you prefer to spin on the CD "Turn-tables" or the classic Vinyl Turntables?
I can't stop myself from saying that
I guess you are probably sick and tired when you have to listen to all of your fans who just love everything you do:). But I simply cannot stop myself from saying that. First of all, as usually your entry is great and funny. Secondly it’s a great pity for me that I won’t be able to attend any of the shows you’ve written about. All of them sound great. It would be very difficult for me if I was to choose one:
- tiny acoustic show - could be a great opportunity of having almost personal and intimate contact with your music that must be fantastic
- in London I would ask you for signature on all of your music albums I have at home
- on Saturday when you are going to dj would also be great - I’m not fond of Donna Summer but heard you saying in a TV interview that you’re good at dj’ing wedding music so I’d be dancing like crazy (I play 3 different instruments piano, flute and guitar but definitely I prefer expressing myself through dancing:)
- in Mexico city it would be exciting to see a new type of live: remixed
- playing live in l.a. would be a fantastic experience (I’ve seen how you work on Myspace but definitely would love to see you playing live)
- at the end it would be a pleasure for me to take a trip with you in a bathtub attached to a balloon over nyc...

i know that's not much related to th info you give, but you know, i really wanted to thank you for yer new album as i had a fantastic time listening to it ( and in fact i haven't stopped playing it since i got it!!). Oh by th way, th way in which yer journal page is now configured, i mean people having th possibility to directly write to you, is just wow, you know, feeling that you might actually read what i'm posting.
As to th summer festivals, i hope i'll make it for th Global Gathering, and also that you'll manage to come to a greek festival too!!
Anyway, just to say that you're truly wonderful in whatever you do and i can't wait to see you live at some point :)
