that tiny little bit where i happen to be.
which is ok. sunshine and heat aren't so great...sniff.
today we drove to st. ives to see the tate modern in st. ives.
but there was no parking in the entire town, so we had to go elsewhere. 'elsewhere' being 'lands end'. the end and beginning of the uk. furthest western and southern point in the uk.
dramatic cliffs. beautiful sea. etc.
but, well, the fog was so thick that we couldn't see a thing.
we could hear the ocean. and we could smell the ocean.
and i saw a seagull. and i was told that we were standing on a dramatic outcropping looking at a wide expanse of the atlantic ocean, but all that i saw was fog.
good looking fog, mind you. very nautical and bracing fog.
so we went to the fun-fair at 'lands end' and looked at a big advertisement for a 'hog roast'.
vegan hog roast?
like vegan rat?
i imagine that one could fashion a pretty impressive hog out of chickpeas.
no, i guess not.
so i hear that cornwall is quite lovely.
unfortunately i have no idea.
the fog is quite eerie, though. eerie in a nice, 'wuthering heights' sort of way.
or 'the hound of the baskervilles'.
i saw some yorkshire terriers today.
i guess that the sound of yorkies yipping in the fog wouldn't really be too frightening, though.
ok, supper time.
p.s-anyone working at the tate modern in st. ives, please sort out some parking. not a single parking space in the entire town.
really. and it was a cold wednesday. can't imagine what it's like on a sunny weekend.
